Olszewski Named NECC Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior Elizabeth Olszewski (Canterbury, Conn.) has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon. This is the first time Olszewski has taken home Player of the Week honors during her Blazers career.
Olszewski was an offensive source for the Blazers during their run at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Florida last week. Olszewski clubbed .320 from the dish with eight hits, including three doubles, seven RBIs and five runs scored. Olszewski drove in a pair of runs during victories over Kenyon College and Alverno College, and then plated three runs during a 3-for-3 day against Bridgewater State.
Olszewski and the Blazers will return to the diamond for their 2017 home opener with a doubleheader against Anna Maria College on March 22nd. First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m.
