Softball To Host Winter Pitching Clinics

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College softball team will host its winter pitching clinics in February of 2011 in Berchmans Gymnasium on the Elms campus for girls age 10-18. Come build on old skills, learn a new pitch or learn the basics of pitching!

The first clinic will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 12-3:00 p.m. and the second clinic will run on Saturday, Feb. 19 also from 12-3:00 p.m. The cost is $70 per session or $120 for both.

Girls of any softball skill level are welcome to attend. Below is a sample clinic schedule:

12-12:15 p.m. – introduction of team, warm-up, stretch, break into groups
12:15-12:25 p.m. – grip/wrist snaps
12:25-12:40 p.m. – arm circles
12:40-1:00 p.m. – full motion
1-1:30 p.m. – explosive drills
1:30-2:30 p.m. – new pitches/spots
2:30-3:00 p.m. – games/contests
