EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Elms College cross country teams found success at the 2016 Trinity Bantam Cross Country Invitational at Wickham Park Saturday afternoon.

For the women's squad, who finished eighth overall, junior Sarah Tatgenhorst (Winterport, Maine) led the Blazers with a 25th-place finish, clocking in with a time of 22:40. Freshman Ariel Willemain (Belchertown, Mass.) finished 57th with a time of 26:32, while junior Sarah Kaczenski (Northfield, Mass.) and freshman Emma Morton (Southwick, Mass.) came in back-to-back at 67th and 68th with times of 27:53 and 28:32, respectively. Freshman Emily Guillerault rounded out the Blazers runners finishing 70th at 28:39.

On the men's side; freshman Rich Hernandez (North Branford, Conn.) checked in at 51st with a time of 21:21, while senior Joshua Diaz Rolon (Chicopee, Mass.) finished 59th with a time of 22:55.

The Blazers will be back on the course when they host the 2016 Blazer Invitational on September 24th at Chicopee Memorial State Park.
