Jeremy Torres Selected to AVCA All-Region Team

Lexington, KY – Elms College men's volleyball Junior outside hitter Jeremy Torres (Juncos, P.R.) has been selected to the AVCA All-Region Team. This is the first year that the AVCA has awarded All-Region accolades. All-Region honorees are eligible for AVCA All-America voting. The AVCA All-American Teams, which are comprised of a first, second, and honorable mention squad, will be announced on Monday, April 20.

Torres led the league in kills per set (4.39), kills (303), points (335.5) and points per set (4.8). He also ranked in the top-10 in hitting percentage (.238), digs (132), total blocks (30), and attacks per set (10.17), earning first-team All-Conference accolades for his performance.

Nationally, the junior is ranked sixth in kills per set, ninth in attacks per set, and tenth in points per set.

Torres, the 2019 NECC Player of the Year, has earned All-NECC first team accolades in each of his first three seasons.
