#7 Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Past Southern Vermont College

Bennington, VT – The Elms College Men's Volleyball team made short work of SVC on Thursday night winning the match in straight sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-10).

The Blazers registered an outstanding .611 hitting percentage in the opening set and held a commanding lead from start to finish. Elms would rally off eight unanswered points and never look back.

SVC was able to keep things a little closer in the second set. With score 17-14 the Blazers would get kills from Jake Johnson (Warwick, R.I.) and Antonio Delgado (Aibonito, P.R.) to extend their lead and take to middle set.

The final set saw the Blazers step up their game and dominate the Mountaineers. Elms would jump out to an 18-6 advantage behind multiple kills from David Hernandez (Manati, P.R.) and Delgado.    

The Blazers are back in action on Saturday when they host Lesley University in the regular season finale.
