Blazers Knock Off # 7 Hawks

Chicopee, MA. – The Elms College Men's volleyball team picked a great time to have their most complete match of the 2019 season. The Blazers came out on fire and played with composure, energy and emotion on their way to knocking off #7 New Paltz 25-16, 29-19. 22-25 and 26-16 for a 3 sets to 1 victory.

Jovanny and Jeremy Torres led the way for the Blazers. Jeremy Torres (Juncos, P.R.) had 17 kills (.400) and 5 digs. Jovanny Torres (Juncos, P.R.) was equally as impressive with 17 kills (.333) and 10 digs. Carlos Mercado (Barranquitas, P.R.) led the Blazers in assists with 22.

Bradley Schnider and Aaron Clark were big for the Hawks combining for 27 kills in the match.

The Blazers jump back into NECC play on Saturday when they travel to Lesley University for a tri-match with Eastern Nazarene.
