Track & Field Posts Record-Setting Performance At Wesleyan Spring Classic

The Elms men's and women's track and field teams had a record-setting day at the Wesleyan University Spring Classic on Saturday, as five school records and six personal records fell.

Both the Blazer men and women set school records in the 4x400. Keara Moulton, Julia Trezza, Tyana Medina and Sarah Tatgenhorst finished seventh with a school-record time of 4:50.30. Meanwhile, the men's relay, featuring Connor Chung, Pablo de La Guardia, Keeshaun King and Isaiah McKinley Jones win the event in a school-record 3:39.41.

Tatgenhorst set a school record in the 1500m with a 10th-place finish of 5:16.77. Blazer shot-putters Amanda Hall and Robert Jean Charles round out the new school-record holders. Jean Charles finished 12th with a toss of 9.78m while Hall picked up a fourth-place finish after a throw of 9.91m.

Greg Metelus highlighted a standout day for the Blazer jumpers. He led a 1-2-3 Elms finish in the triple jump (12.47m) ahead of McKinley-Jones (12.44m) and Connor Chung (12.23m), and a 1-3-4 finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.25m. King (6.01m) and McKinley-Jones (5.95m) took third and fourth in the long jump.

The Blazers compete next at the Smith College Pioneer Invitational on April 7.
