Blazers Wrap Up UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Elms College men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the season-opening UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational on Saturday.

Amanda Hall highlighted the Elms women with a second-place showing in her flight and 12th-place finish in the women's shot put with a toss of 9.72m.

The Blazer women picked up a seventh-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay as Trisah Doert, Keyonna Douglas, Sam Wegiel and Helena Ward finished the race in 57.32.

Donald Cianciolo took 16th in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.18. Theophilus Jones also picked up a 16th-place finish for the Blazer men after a toss of 9.76m.

Greg Metelus led three Blazer men with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump (12.76m), ahead of Jonathan Lester (12.74m) who finished sixth and Isaiah McKinley-Jones (12.72m) who finished seventh in the 12-athlete field.

Elms will return to action on March 24 at the Wesleyan College Invitational.
