Blazer Men's And Women's Swimming Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Elms College men’s and women’s swimming teams are making a splash outside of the pool, as both squads put together team GPAs among the top 16 in all of Division III, earning College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American status.

With a 3.46 GPA, the Elms men tied with Williams for the 15th highest mark among Division III men. The Blazer women, meanwhile, post a 3.61 team GPA, the 16th-best among Division III women’s teams.

The Elms men were one of just five teams from the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) to make the list, and one of three from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), reeling in the highest team GPA of both groups. The Blazer women had the second-highest GPA out of 14 NEISDA and six GNAC teams to be recognized.

To earn CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
