Men’s Soccer Tripped Up At Worcester State

Worcester, MA. - The Elms College men's soccer team dropped a non-conference game 5-0 on the road at Worcester State University Wednesday night at a rainy Coughlin Field.

Worcester State got on the board in just the second minute, and jumped out in front 1-0. The Lancers would add to their lead in the 21st minute, and again in the 29th minute. The Blazers would get off three shots in the opening half, but could not capitalize on their opportunities, sending the game into the break with the home side up 3-0.

The Lancers would score their fourth goal of the game in the 51st minute, and take a commanding 4-0 lead. The Blazers would continue to fight, Alex Egan (Watertown, MA) would hit the frame three times in the half, but was unable to get Elms on the board. Worcester would extend the lead in the 65th minute to 5-0, which would hold up as the final score.

The Blazers jump back into conference play on Saturday when they host Mitchell College at 2PM on Leary Field.  This game is also senior day for the Blazers, they will celebrate the careers on four young men. Babba Jaden, Jose Ulloa, Joseph Larkin and Michael Campos
