NORTH ADAMS, MA – The Elms College Men's Soccer team came up short on Saturday in their last game at the MCLA Tournament, losing 6-2 to Coast Guard.
Coast Guard struck quickly, finding the back of the net just 2:25 into the match. The Bears would strike again in the 38th minute and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Bears added a pair of goals just 58 seconds apart just under ten minutes into the second half, and pushed their lead to 4-0.
The Blazers would fight back and got on the board on a goal by Alex Egan (Watertown, MA)in the 65th minute. Justin Szwajkowski (Westhampton, MA) would add another in the 67th minute, and cut the deficit to 4-2.
The Bears would extended thier lead to 5-2 in the 75th minute and again to 6-2 with 6:13 left in the game.
Collin Liedke (Newington, CT) would have 13 saves in net for the Blazers.
Elms is back in action on Saturday 9/14 at 1:00PM when they host Keen State on Leary Field.
