King Recognized As NECC Golfer Of The Week

Elms College junior Matt King (Feeding Hills, Mass.) was recognized as the New England Collegiate Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

King shot a four-over par 76 in the first round of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships and followed that with an 82 in the final round to finish with a two-day total of 158. King finished tied for 19th individually in the 114-player field, leading Elms to a 10th-place team finish out of 23 teams. King was the top NECC finisher in the prestigious tournament.
