Blazers Finish Sixth At Blazer Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Elms College golf team finished sixth out of 17 teams at the Blazer Invitational after a second round score of 326 at Ledges Golf Club on Sunday.

After three round in the 70s on Saturday, no Blazer broke 80 on Sunday. William Marchand shot 82 to finish tied for 16th at 159 overall. Chris Soderberg shot 86 on Sunday and finished tied for 21st at 163 individually. Frankie Murray shot 83 on Sunday and tied with Christian Pavlakis at 23rd with a total score of 164. Matt King shot 84 and finished tied for 29th at 165 for the tournament.

Husson University won the tournament with a team score of 608, 40 strokes ahead of the Blazers (648). Husson's Gavin Dugas finished the tournament 1-under-par at 143 and took home individual medalist honors.

The Blazers will wrap up the season at the NEIGA Tournament Oct. 20-22.
