Murray Leads Elms On Day 1 At Middlebury

The Elms College men's golf team finds itself at the back of the pack after the first day of the Duke Nelson Classic hosted by Middlebury. Through 18 holes, the Blazers are in 22nd place after a team score of 333, three shots behind Wesleyan University.

Frankie Murray led Elms by shooting 80 and is tied for 75th individually. He is followed by teammates Chris Soderberg (82), William Marchand (84), Matt King (87) and John Keegan (90).

New York University leads the tournament after a team score of 291 on Saturday. Williams College is in second (293), one shot ahead of Johnson & Wales (294).

The 36-hole event concludes with another 18 holes on Sunday.
