Blazer Men Extend Win-Streak To 3 With 97-91 OT Win At Newbury

BROOKLINE, Mass. – Justin Feliciano scored 25 points and the Elms College men's basketball team fought its way to its third consecutive win, a 97-91 overtime road victory at Newbury in New England Collegiate Conference play on Saturday.

Elms (3-10, 2-3 NECC) outscored the Nighthawks (3-8, 1-4 NECC) 63-47 after halftime, including 15-9 in overtime to extend its winning streak to three after trailing 44-34 at the break.

Feliciano went 13-for-16 at the free throw line and 5-of-11 from the field to lead the Blazers. He also added seven rebounds and three assists. D.J. Edelen scored 17 points and went 8-for-11 from the field and Andre Peguero added 13 points for Elms

Tank Roberson led all scorers with 40 points for the Nighthawks by going 11-for-24 from the field and 14-for-21 from the free throw line. Omar Williams added 23 points for Newbury.

Elms shot 45.6 percent from the field and held the Nighthawks to 37.3 percent. The Blazers controlled the glass, finishing with a 53-46 rebounding advantage.

Elms will put its win-streak on the line on Jan. 15 at Dean. Newbury, meanwhile, will visit Eastern Nazarene on Jan. 15.
