Field Hockey Falls At Home To Thomas In NECC Action

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College field hockey team dropped a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) game 4-1 to the visiting Thomas College Terriers on Saturday afternoon. The loss puts the Blazers at 3-12 overall and 0-4 in (NECC) play.

The Terriers got on the board nine minutes into the game, taking a 1-0 lead. The Blazers would come close to finding the equalizer off a shot from Carissa Ramirez, but her shot sailed wide of the Thomas cage. The Terriers would add to their lead at the 10:57 mark, and would head into the break up 2-0.

Thomas would add to the lead in the 24th and the 40th minute to take a 4-0 advantage. The Blazers would get on the board at the 49:56 on an unassisted goal from Ramirez.

Elms is back in action on Tuesday 10/22 when they travel to Dean College in NECC play.
