Holyoke, MA – The Elms College Baseball team was in action on Wednesday night hosting the Anna Maria College Amcats in a non-conference game.
The Blazers would fall behind early 1-0 after the Amcats strung together three hits in the top of the 1st inning platting one run. The Score wouldn't remain that way for long, the Blazers bats came to life in the bottom of the 2nd scoring five runs. The big hit came when Alex Hoss (Stafford Springs, CT) doubled in two runs.
Elms wouldn't look back and would score runs in four of the final six innings including the 4th when they would push three across the plate on a Nate Ayala (Springfield, MA) double and a Kevin Banas (Hatfield, MA) single.
The Blazers would end the game with 16 hits powering them to a 12-4 win.
Austin Roy (Cromwell, CT) would pitch five strong innings and get the decision.
Elms hosts Eastern Nazarene College on Thursday in a conference doubleheader at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
