Baseball Splits Twin Bill At Lesley

Worcester, MA – The Elms College Baseball team split a road doubleheader at Lesley University on Saturday.

 

Game 1 – Elms 7, Lesley 2

Both teams put up runs in their half of the first inning. The Blazers would follow that up with runs in 3rd, 4th and 5th innings to jump out front 7-2 and eventually go on to win by that score.

Alex Hoss (Stafford Springs, CT)led the way with three hits, Nate Ayala (Springfield, MA), Cam Griffin West, (Springfiels, MA) and Cam Hart (Leiccester, MA)

Kevin Banas (Hatfield, MA) would get the complete game win.all had two hits apiece.

 

Game 2 – Lesley 2, Elms 0

Game two was a pitchers duel between the two starters. The two teams combined for only seven hits in the game with the Lynx scoring the only two runs taking the win 2-0.

Nate Ayala and Cam griffin picked the only two hits in the game for the Blazers.

Cody Fisher (South Windsor, CT)) pitched four strong innings but would take the loss.

Elms has their home opener on Sunday when they host Newbury College in a conference doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
