Blazers Can’t Keep Up With Golden Bears

SPRINGFIELD, MA. – The Elms College baseball team allowed six runs in the first inning and were never able to get back in to the game. The Blazers would go on to drop the non-conference contest against Western New England University on Monday afternoon at Trelease Park.

The Golden Bears added 3 more runs in the bottom of the third and would put up three more runs in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings.

Elms scored its only run of the contest in the top of the third, as junior Will Kennedy (Holyoke, MA) led off with a single through the right side of the infield, before eventually crossing the plate on an RBI groundout by junior Josh Pasini (Enfield, CT).

Ryan Searles would only pitch 1.2 innings but would get credit with the win for WNE.

Pat Krol would be the losing pitcher on record for Elms.

The Blazers are back in action for another non-conference road game at Rhode Island College
