Elms College winter and spring student-athletes led New England Collegiate Conference with a total of 31 NECC All-Academic honorees, as the league announced its academic honors on Monday.

Junior pitcher Thomas Owens (Enfield, Conn.) earned first-team All-NECC honors while sophomore pitcher Kevin Banas (Hatfield, Mass.) and junior first baseman Josh Berthiaum (Pittsfield, Mass.) were both voted to the second team.

Kevin Banas fired the second no-hitter in program history as the Elms College baseball team swept a New England Collegiate Conference double-header against Southern Vermont on Tuesday. Elms won 6-0 to started the afternoon and closed out the sweep with a dramatic, 2-1 extra-innings win.
