Cordeiro Named NAC Rookie Of The Week

CORDEIRO NAMED NAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

CHICOPEE, MA, April 14, 2008- Elms College baseball freshman shortstop Brendan Cordeiro (Berkley, MA) was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie Of The Week on Monday, April 14.

Cordeiro went a combined 2 for 6 with a double and two RBI, including what proved to be the eventual game-winning RBI sacrifice fly to plate the lone run in a 1-0 win over Husson that completed a conference doubleheader sweep for the Blazers. 

For the season Cordeiro has started at shortstop 15 of the Blazers 17 games.
