Bergeron Earns NAC Pitcher Of The Week Honors

BERGERON EARNS NAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK HONORS

CHICOPEE, MA, May 1, 2007 - Elms College freshman baseball pitcher Sean Bergeron (Chicopee, MA) earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 23, to April 29.

Bergeron threw a complete-game, five-hitter to help the Blazers post a 7-1 conference win at Thomas last Saturday. He allowed just one earned run in the first inning and struck out seven to post his third win of the year. In his last three appearances (16.0 innings), Bergeron has gone 3-0 with a 0.56 earned run average, struck out 11 and issued only seven walks.
